Situated in the spectacular Atlas Mountains in Morocco, the award-winning Kasbah Tamadot was bought by Sir Richard Branson during one of his famous ballooning expeditions. Kasbah Tamadot is Sir Richard Branson's magical retreat in Morocco's Atlas Mountains.

 

This 28 bedroom hotel is perched at the top of a valley with views up to Mount Toubkal and over to some of the traditional Berber villages that dot around the region. In fact, in the Berber language, Kasbah Tamadot means 'soft breeze'

 

Each of the 28 rooms and suites has been individually decorated to reflect the beautiful architecture of the building and features antiques from all over the world.

Rooms

 There are 28 bedrooms and suites including 10 luxury Berber Tents, some of which have private plunge pools.

 

All are individually decorated using traditional Moroccan furnishings and antiques, as well as items from the vast collection of Luciano Tempo, Kasbah Tamadot's former owner. As a renowned antiques dealer and interior designer, Luciano brought together artefacts from all over the world, many of which feature in the bedrooms.

 

There are three Superior Rooms; one looks out over the front courtyard, the other into an interior courtyard. . The Superior Room in the Master Suite can only be booked separately within two months prior to arrival.

 

 

The ten luxurious Berber Tents are perfect for those looking for a little more adventure. Soak up the views on your private deck equipped with sun loungers and space for outdoor dining and six suites have their own hot tub. All suites have a king-size bed, large rolltop bath and will earn you extra brownie points if you’re whisking away a special someone for a romantic escape!


Restaurants

 Dining at Kasbah Tamadot

During your stay at Kasbah Tamadot dinner will be served in a variety of settings and locations. If the weather is right, dine al fresco next to the beautiful infinity pool bar, on the rooftop terrace underneath the stars, or somewhere private just for two!

 

With an intimate fireside bar for pre-dinner cocktails and a stunning dining area complete with wonderful views, Kanoun Restaurant serves delicious local and international cuisine. The food served marries local produce and flavours and is served with a great selection of international and Moroccan wines. 

 

Half board at Kasbah Tamadot

If you are after more flexible dining during your stay, take advantage of the Half Board option which includes a choice of lunch or dinner from the à la carte menu . The Head Chef, Yassine Khalal prides himself on creating a menu which celebrates seasonal and local produce.

 

Full board at Kasbah Tamadot

For those guests not planning to travel from the hotel we recommend adding the cost of lunch and dinner to your stay with our 'Full Board' option. You’ll have the full range of choices from the à la carte menu including on selected themed evenings when traditional and international dishes are served buffet style.

 

 

Other Facilities

Tennis Courts

The hotel has two floodlit Astroturf tennis courts and it’s one of Richard Branson’s favourite activities when he visits. Racquets and balls supplied. 

 

Work it out

If you’re looking to keep fit while you’re visiting, the air conditioned gym is equipped with a running machine, bike, multifunctional weight station and free weights.

 

Heated indoor and outdoor pools

Take a dip in the outdoor infinity pool and take in the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains. If outside is a bit too chilly, try the heated indoor pool with its own lounge area. 

 

Authentically Berber Experience

Immerse yourself in a true cultural experience at Kasbah Tamadot and enjoy a 1 hour Mule Trek, tea in a local Berber House, a visit to the Eve Branson Foundation, a 1 hour Berber cooking lesson as well as Berber bread baking.

 

Royal Golf Course

Located close to Marrakech, it was built for the Pacha El Glaoui in 1923 and designed by architects Arnoud Massy and Gustaves Golias. 

 Amelkis Golf Course

This 72 par 6655 metre course was designed by architect Cabell Robinson and is located outside Marrakech.

 Palmeraie Golf Course

This 72 par 6345 metre course is located in the Palmeraie and was designed by world famous architect Robert Trend Jones.
